Taking it slow! Bachelor in Paradise alum Dean Unglert revealed that he won’t be spending the holidays with his Bachelor Nation girlfriend, Caelynn Miller-Keyes. The stud has been adamant about taking their relationship at a steady pace — and confessed that they’re “still taking our time” — but he dished that they’ll reunite to ring in the new year.

“We are not celebrating the holidays together, Caeylnn and I,” the 28-year-old exclusively dished to Life & Style at KIIS FM’s iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Presented By Capital One on December 6. “I’m going to Switzerland to ski in the Alps, and she is going to be with their parents and family in Virginia. But we will be together for New Year’s. I’m going to be in Berlin, and she’s going to come meet me in Berlin.”

The reality duo has been on a lot of getaways together — including Guatemala and Hawaii — since leaving the beach in Mexico. The Colorado native acknowledged that travel is something they connect on, despite it also causing a few bumps along the way. “I think that we both are passionately curious about what the world has to offer, and we’re able to explore that passion together. We’re different travelers,” he explained. “We’re interested maybe in different things while we travel, but we have fun while we do it. That’s the most important. It’s definitely great that we both like to get out there. There are times where she gets, like … our arguments are always me pushing her too hard, like on hikes and stuff like that. And so I don’t know if she’ll ever really come around to that kind of stuff.”

On Paradise, Dean started a relationship with Caelynn but ended up leaving because he didn’t see a future with her. She then struck up a flirtation with Connor Saeli until Dean returned. They left the show (again) together. In hindsight, the former beauty queen is grateful for how things worked out.

“She’s mentioned before that if she like left the show with anyone else — that was maybe, like, more image-conscious — she wasn’t sure if it would last because I don’t give a f–k what people think about me,” the former contestant from Rachel Lindsay‘s season said. “She kind of had some scrutiny come her way, and if someone was more, like, concerned about how they were looking, they might kind of bail on that situation. But, I think that we do trust each other, you know, even though we kind of get onto each other’s nerves sometimes.”

He was sure to also note, “But, at the end of the day, we can rely on each other, which is a nice, dynamic, I guess.” We’d certainly say so!

Good luck, you two!
