John Cena Posts Cryptic Tweet After Nikki Bella’s Marriage Comments: Don’t Talk ‘About Someone’
Not interested in the gossip! John Cena posted a cryptic tweet about talking behind someone’s back after his ex-fiancé, Nikki Bella, revealed her fears about marriage on Total Bellas.
“Talk with someone, not about someone,” read a quote the 43-year-old tweeted on April 28. Although the message came off as very mysterious, fans couldn’t help but think it may have been directed at ex Nikki, 36.

The WWE babe opened up on the April 16 episode of the E! reality show about how she doesn’t have “trust in men” and was extremely worried about being “stuck” in a marriage after going through her parents’ divorce. “I do see where I carry that into my relationships and even just committing,” she explained during an emotional conversation with her mom, Kathy Laurinaitis. “All I’ve ever thought of is it would be so amazing to walk down the aisle, but then I get close, and I can’t even breathe.”
She added, “Am I just going to be stuck in something that I don’t want to be in? And, I just carry that with me because that’s how mom was for so long, stuck. And I think that’s just what I learned.”
Fans thought the starlet’s comments were pointing toward her previous relationship with the Blockers actor. Nikki and John were together for six years but split one month before they were supposed to walk down the aisle in May 2018. They briefly reconciled but called it quits for good that following June.
These days, the brunette beauty is engaged to Dancing With the Stars pro Artem Chigvintsev, and they are expecting their first child together.
As for John, he has sparked engagement rumors with his current girlfriend, Shay Shariatzadeh. However, it seems as though they have not taken that big step quite yet. The couple walked the red carpet together during the premiere of the pro wrestler’s film Dolittle in January 2020 and an eyewitness exclusively told Life & Style that they appeared to be completely at ease with each other.
“John and Shay arrived hand in hand to [the] carpet and walked into the carpet holding hands,” the insider said. “He whispered a few things in her ear to reassure her on [the] carpet, a few gentle kisses on lips. Very sweet. She seemed totally comfortable and happy to be by his side.”
It looks like the exes are ready to move on for good!
