Katy Perry Says Orlando Bloom’s Son Flynn Has ‘Matured’ Her: ‘I Guess This Is Adulting’
Ever since Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom got together in 2016, the singer’s life changed drastically — making her more responsible. It’s all thanks to Orlando’s son, Flynn, and fortunately, Katy doesn’t seem to mind at all.
The 34-year-old recently appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and revealed she and the 42-year-old have to seemingly pick Flynn up from his mom Miranda Kerr’s place pretty early. “We have to be out the door at 7:30 to be there at 8:15 and we cannot be late,” Katy said during her appearance, which airs on Wednesday, September 18. “I used to not wake up until 11 a.m. and now I’m in bed like a normal person at 10 p.m., just like falling asleep.”
Waking up early has impacted the “California Girls” singer. “I guess this has definitely matured me. I guess this is adulting,” she said. “That’s why I still dress like a child, to fight against!” In the end, it’s all worth it though. Orlando and Katy seem to have the best relationship.
“He is the kindest soul. He is the kindest man I’ve ever met,” she added. “He shows up and he’s such an encouragement spiritually, emotionally, and physically. I do not care to work out and he’s like, ‘Let’s go work out! Let’s go do hot yoga!’ That’s kind of our love language is all things spiritual and working out.”
The couple got engaged on Valentine’s Day — three years after they first became romantically linked to each other. To announce the exciting news, they each took to social media to post a selfie together showing off the gorgeous engagement ring. “Full bloom,” Katy captioned her pic, while his caption was “Lifetimes.”
When it comes to having kids, the pair is open to the idea. “Katy wants to start a family and Orlando is on board. She wants to wait until after they’re married, but that’s not written in stone,” a source exclusively told Life & Style in March.
In early September, the Pirates of the Caribbean star made an appearance on The Howard Stern Show and got candid about starting a family with his lady. “We are shooting for that,” he admitted. “It’s like this wild mustang. If we can just wrangle this beast and get on it, we’ll have the ride of our life.” We can’t wait!
