It's been less than a week since news broke that Hollywood's hottest couple is heading for divorce, but mamager Kris is hoping Kim will have a change of heart. Although no one's more protective of the Kar-Jenner fortune than the 62-year-old, she's surprisingly taking her son-in-law's side. On April 24, after reports surfaced that Kanye was fighting with Kris and Kim, Kris tweeted, "Lies, Lies, Lies" and "Nope…not true!" But apparently, she's also defending him out of the public eye, too.
A source told Life & Style exclusively, "Kris is trying to persuade Kim to work things out with Kanye. She sees them as the ultimate power couple and wants to keep it that way. Despite Kanye's faults, Kris likes him and thinks he’s a great dad. She's trying to talk Kim out of filing for divorce."
Those so-called "faults" include the slew of tweets Ye has posted in recent weeks. On April 15 — one year after Kanye deleted his Twitter account — he returned with a series of bizarre messages on social media. "The psychological zombie effect," one of them read. "I'm super chaaaaaarged. Bout to take this whole thing to mars," read another. After calling slavery a "choice" and revealing he developed an opioid addiction while recovering from liposuction, speculation spread across the Internet that the father-of-three, who spent eight days in a psych ward in 2016, was having another breakdown.
Of course, Kris could be on Kanye's side simply to avoid another major PR disaster. Kim's sister, Khloé Kardashian, recently got back together with her cheating baby daddy, Tristan Thompson, (sigh), so she certainly has her hands full these days.
