Mandy Moore Is Engaged — and Her TV Husband Milo Ventimiglia Totally Approves
Congratulations are in order for Mandy Moore! The actress is engaged to boyfriend Taylor Goldsmith — and he popped the question just days before the Season 2 premiere of This Is Us.
But what does Mandy’s TV husband, Milo Ventimiglia — who plays Jack Pearson on This Is Us — think of her future spouse? He shared his thoughts when he, Mandy, 33, and their co-star Sterling K. Brown made an appearance on the Monday, Sept. 25, episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
“I didn’t get asked for her hand in marriage, like (as her) TV husband but, at the same time, I was OK with it. It was fine,” Milo, 40, joked, adding that he thinks Mandy and Taylor, 32, are a perfect pair. “Taylor is the kindest soul, as is Mandy — she’s like the most beautiful of human beings. So the two of them coming together, it’s right and it’s good.”
According to a Facebook post by E! News reporter Marc Malkin, Taylor, who is the guitarist in the indie rock band Dawes, popped the question to the actress at her house earlier this month. “He was petrified,” a source said. “Mandy said yes and is so happy.”
The source went on to describe the engagement ring as “understated” and “very Mandy.” Recently, Mandy couldn’t help but gush about her now fiancé. “I am very happy!’ she told In Touch. “[Taylor] is a gem of a person. I really lucked out.”
She also opened up about her previous relationship with ex-husband Ryan Adams and revealed what she learned from the experience. “Make sure you’re always prioritizing yourself before anyone else,” she said. “Listen to your gut. Listen to your instincts. I think women aren’t told that enough.”
Many and Taylor recently celebrated their two-year-anniversary, and Mandy marked the milestone on Instagram. “The best 2 years. Never not smiling with you, T,” she wrote.
And it looks like kids are not far behind for the couple. Mandy, who plays a mother-of-three on the NBC drama This Is Us seemed to be inspired by her role. “I’m definitely ready for motherhood sooner rather than later!” she said. ‘I think that’s going to be the next chapter.”
