Marc Anthony and Shannon De Lima Confirm Divorce After 2 Years of Marriage — Is Jennifer Lopez to Blame?
Just one month after rumors of their divorce started swirling, Marc Anthony and Shannon De Lima finally confirmed their split.
The 48-year-old singer and his soon-to-be ex-wife released a joint statement where they both responded to the rumors and confirmed their divorce after just two years of marriage.
“After much consideration, we have mutually and amicably decided to end our two year marriage. We ask for privacy during this difficult process, and no further comments will be made from either one of us about this personal matter,” Marc and Shannon wrote in a shared statement obtained by People.
Marc and Shannon, 28, started dating just a few months after Marc announced his divorce from his second wife, Jennifer Lopez. Rumors of Marc’s split with Shannon started circulating after he shared a kiss onstage with Jennifer, 47, while they performed together during the Latin Grammys. Shortly after their performance, sources exclusively told Life & Style that Marc and Jennifer are looking to rekindle their romance and that the couple is hoping to remarry in the future.

“It’s back on,” the insider said. “Jennifer knows that Marc was the love of her life.”
But while the former couple — who share eight-year-old twins Max and Emme together — might be getting back together, another ex of Jennifer’s is trying to make his way back into her life. The “Ain’t Your Mama” singer has been hooking up with her ex-boyfriend Casper Smart and they were together as recently as November, Life & Style exclusively revealed.
“Right now, she doesn’t want anyone to know she’s hanging out with Casper again,” the insider said. “She wants to be seen as a strong woman who’s moving onward and upward.”
