Meghan Markle Is Trying to Find ‘a Healthy Balance’ Between Work and Family After Maternity Leave

Relatable mommy moments! Meghan Markle is still trying to find the sweet spot between working and raising baby Archie, whom she shares with her husband, Prince Harry. A source exclusively dished to Life & Style that the duchess has been putting in an effort to prioritize the important things in her life.

“Now that Meghan’s maternity leave has come to an end, she’s having to create a healthy balance between work and family life,” the insider dished about the gorgeous royal, 38. “She treasures every moment she spends with Archie, who is the most adorable, happy, sweet-natured baby. Harry and Meghan say they couldn’t have asked for a more perfect son.” The couple welcomed their first child on May 6 and have seen over-the-moon happy ever since.

Being a parent is no joke and many people struggle to find work-life balance  — apparently, even royals. Meghan seems extremely down-to-earth when it comes to motherhood, and that includes not rushing the process of getting her pre-baby body back. “It’s not easy to lose the weight, but she’s happy to be a realistic example for new mothers,” a separate source told Us WeeklyIt’s amazing to see that the former Suits actress is putting her energy into “adjusting to motherhood” instead of feeding into the pressure to instantly lose weight.

Any sort of trials and tribulations that come from being a parent don’t compare to how in love she is with her newborn son. “Motherhood is the best thing that’s ever happened to Meghan. That, and marrying [Prince] Harry,” another insider exclusively told Life & Style. “Meghan says there’s nothing that makes her happier than seeing Archie smile. She feels blessed to have such a happy, calm baby.”

Royal or not, Meghan is still on that new mom grind. “Sometimes Meghan will be up for 24 hours straight tending to Archie’s needs,” the insider continued. “If he isn’t fed every two to three hours, everyone knows about it. He’ll scream the house down!”

Archie may just be a few months old but he sounds like he has quite the personality. “Archie can’t talk yet but he’s certainly trying to! He gurgles and coos with excitement whenever Meghan or Harry walk into the room. You can tell he already adores his parents,” a source from Closer Weekly gushed about how vocal the baby royal is. “He’s just learned to push himself up when lying on his stomach because he wants to see what’s going on around him … Harry jokes that he’s such a nosy baby.”

We love watching Meghan navigate the waters of motherhood. Keep it up, girl!
