Royal baby countdown! Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are spending the next couple of months preparing for the arrival of their little one, but it sounds like the mama-to-be won’t be the only one changing diapers this spring. According to a source who spoke to In Touch magazine, the Duchess, 37, will ensure that her husband is “a hands-on dad” and be there to help her with “night duty, diaper changes, and cleaning up.” That doesn’t seem like it will be a problem for Harry, 34, who has been a great support system for the former Suits actress throughout her pregnancy.

During their Australian royal tour a few months ago, the Duke made sure Meghan got the rest she needed, even if it meant staying in and skipping on some engagements. It’s even the little things, too. During a speech at a black-tie dinner, Harry made a toast with water to make sure she felt included. Considering how loving they are toward each other, can you just imagine how they’ll be with their baby?

Regardless of what’s to come, the Duke is up for the challenge. When a fan reminded him that babies are hard work, Harry replied, “Oh, I know. I’m ready.” And kids love him! Anytime there’s a royal outing, children run to hug the Prince, who always looks more than happy to return the love. Plus, having two nephews and a niece — Prince George, 5, Princess Charlotte, 3, and Louis, 8 months — definitely serves as an advantage.

Luckily, the royal couple will receive lots of help with their bundle of joy, as it’s been reported they hired a nanny. Meghan’s mom, Doria, is also planning to lend an extra hand and move to London just in time for the baby’s arrival. We’re excited to see how parenting goes for the these two!
