On the heels of a rather interesting Christmas season for the royal family, the Duchess of Sussex’s mother, Doria Ragland, continues with business as usual at home in Los Angeles. Meghan Markle‘s mom was reportedly spotted returning to work to teach yoga, and TBH, we’re sure she could probably use all that zen after all the holiday drama her daughter was dealing with last year. Between the possibility of feuding sisters-in-law and being packed in tight at Sandringham estate, Doria made an interesting yet probably smart move to step back from the royal hustle and bustle for Christmas and stay in Los Angeles this year.

Though reports claimed that Meghan’s mama was not “formally invited for this Christmas,” a source that spoke with Us Weekly claimed that Doria was “welcome at Sandringham.”

Doria does seem to be slightly used to spending the holiday without her daughter, as Meghan celebrated with Prince Harry and the royals last year as well. The couple was still engaged at that point.

The 62-year-old mama does live on the complete opposite side of the globe, though, so it would make sense for Meghan to be spending her holidays with her English fam.

Let’s hope we can see Doria hanging with the royals soon enough — she looked so good at the wedding, we can’t wait to see her decked out royal-style once again!
