Meghan Markle And Prince Harry’s Christmas Card Is A Clue They Were Going To Move To Frogmore Cottage All Along
Happy holidays from your favorite newlyweds! Prince Harry and Meghan Markle released their stunning Christmas card photo on Dec. 14. It’s absolute perfection and we wouldn’t expect anything less from the chic couple. Taking a closer look, there’s one detail that indicates Harry and Meghan were planning to move to Frogmore Cottage all along.
In the black-and-white photo, Meghan and Harry are standing in front of a huge display of fireworks with their arms wrapped around each other. The cutest part is Harry has his hand tucked behind his back to hold his new wife’s. The photo was taken during their wedding reception at none other than *drumroll, please* Frogmore Cottage.
While the photo is gorgeous, the fact that the couple had such a momentous life event at Frogmore is a huge indicator that it was more than likely going to be their future home. Reportedly, the 10-bedroom mansion was a gift to the young couple from Queen Elizabeth herself.
A statement about their move from Kensington Palace said, “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will move to Frogmore Cottage on the Windsor Estate early next year as they prepare for the arrival of their first child. The couple have lived at Nottingham Cottage since their engagement last year. Windsor is a very special place for Their Royal Highnesses and they are grateful that their official residence will be on the estate. The Duke and Duchess’s office will continue to be based at Kensington Palace.” Well, it would be rude to turn down a gift.
Since Meghan is expecting her first child in the spring, it will be nice for them to have more space. Rumors surfaced that their move was due to tension with Prince William and Kate Middleton, but the truth is their growing family just needed larger accommodations. This includes more space for Meghan’s mom, Doria Ragland, who plans on being a “hands-on gran” once the baby arrives.
