#Awk: Prince Harry’s Ex-Girlfriend And Meghan Markle Just Went To The Same Party
What’s more awkward? Running into your husband’s ex at an event or seeing your ex’s new wife look completely gorgeous and stunning on stage at that same huge event? Hmm…decisions, decisions. Well, that was the exact predicament Meghan Markle and Prince Harry‘s ex-girlfriend, Cressida Bonas, was in during the 2018 British Fashion Awards. Even royals have to deal with slightly uncomfortable social situations just like us.
Meghan was totally glowing when she surprised the audience by sauntering on stage to present an award during the fashion event. She looked like absolute perfection during the unexpected appearance in a one-shoulder, floor-length black gown that accentuated her baby bump. She even broke royal protocol and painted her nails an edgy, dark color. Sorry, but the queen’s go-to shade of “ballet slipper” just doesn’t seem fitting for the occasion.
Meghan was there to honor her friend and Givenchy designer, Clare Waight Keller, with the Womenswear Designer of the Year award. Yes, the woman who was the brain behind Meghan’s unforgettable wedding dress. We wonder what Harry’s ex was thinking as she watched from the audience?
Obviously, Cressida came to play and also looked beautiful for the event. The model and actress (Harry has a type?), who dated the Prince from 2012 to 2014, opted for a shimmery skirt, sheer, black top, and showstopping emerald-encrusted earrings.
While these two probably aren’t besties, they seem to at least be on somewhat good terms. Although it seemed like Cressida shaded Harry and Meghan after news of their engagement broke with a salty social media post, it looks like things have been smoothed over. Cressida was even in attendance at Meghan and Harry’s wedding. Take a lesson on amicable exes from the royal fam!
Both ladies looked stunning and seemed like they had a great time at the Fashion Awards. Maybe they’ll be seeing more of each other? Eh, maybe not.
