Pregnancy cravings? Gigi Hadid walked fans through her recipe for pasta with vodka sauce following her baby news with Zayn Malik. The pregnant model left out the alcohol and made a few other substitutions, but her super saucy dinner had us drooling. Luckily, she shared her whole recipe.
The 25-year-old started her recipe, which she was only making for two. According to photos from her birthday party on April 23, her boyfriend, 27, has been staying at her family’s Pennsylvania farm amid the coronavirus pandemic, so we can’t help but think she was preparing a little date night for them.
The catwalk queen sautéed a clove of garlic with some shallot (she substituted red onion) and cooked the mixture until soft. She then added 1/4 cup of tomato paste and let it sizzle until it got “a bit caramelized.” Finally, the blonde beauty dumped in 1/2 cup heavy cream and some red pepper flakes. After seasoning with salt and pepper, she threw in the pasta with a big hunk of butter and stirred until it all came together. Um, yum!
A cozy night in with two big bowls of pasta sounds perfect for the mama-to-be and former One Direction singer. However, the Victoria’s Secret model isn’t the only one spoiling her man. The “Pillowtalk” artist has been treating Gigi, who is reportedly 20 weeks along, “like a princess,” a source exclusively dished to Life & Style. “[He’s] constantly asking her if she’s OK and running around after her.” The expectant dad is over the moon over the arrival of his little one. “Finding out that he’s going to be a dad has put a smile back on Zayn’s face,” added the insider. “He has a more positive outlook on life and really pulled himself together.”
Life & Style confirmed the pregnancy news on April 28, and it came as a surprise to many, including the model’s family. Gigi’s mom, Yolanda Hadid, and sister Bella Hadid were “shocked” when they found out she was expecting, a second insider exclusively told Life & Style. “[They] didn’t know what to think when Gigi first told them [about the pregnancy] … but now, they’re excited.”
Gigi and Zayn first confirmed their relationship in 2016 and have dated on-and-off through the years. They most recently rekindled their romance in December 2019. Although the A-listers have had a bit of drama in their history, her family is on board. “Seeing Gigi so happy makes them happy. They’ve welcomed Zayn into the family,” noted the source.
