Prince Harry Proudly Sports ‘Daddy’ Jacket Days After Meghan Markle Gave Birth to Their Son Archie

Even though these last few days have been a whirlwind for Harry and Meghan, 37, it looks as though he’s happier than ever! After all, what’s more joyous than starting a family?

As it happens, however, the handsome monarch did admit that fatherhood has already proven to be a tad overwhelming. “I’ve had about two hours’ sleep,” Harry told ITV News following Archie’s birth.

Even so, Harry knows that the sleep deprivation was totally worth it. “This is definitely my first birth. It was amazing, absolutely incredible,” he gushed.

“As I said, I am so incredibly proud of my wife and as every father and parent would ever say, your baby is absolutely amazing, but this little thing is absolutely to die for,” Harry continued. “So, I’m just over the moon.”

In addition to Meghan and Harry’s excitement, the rest of the royal family has also expressed their pure elation at little Archie’s arrival.

“I wish him all the best,” Harry’s brother, Prince William, told U.K. reporters on Tuesday, May 7. “I hope that in the next few days they can settle down and enjoy having a newborn in the family and all the sort of joys that come with that,” he continued.

“It’s such a special time,” Kate Middleton echoed. “With Louis and Charlotte just having had their birthdays, it’s such a great time of year to have baby,” she continued. 

At the time, neither Kate, 37, nor William, 36, had met their nephew or even knew his name. “We look forward to meeting him and finding out what his name is going to be … it’s really exciting for both of them!” the Duchess of Cambridge said. We can’t wait to see them all come together to meet Archie!
