Total twins! Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle gave birth to her son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, on May 6, and he’s the cutest thing ever — but newly released baby photos of Prince Harry‘s wife show that their new son is just taking after his mama. These two look so much alike!

In an early photo of the 37-year-old duchess given to The Sun by her estranged father, Thomas Markle, Meg can be seen being held by her mom, Doria Ragland. She was a cute little nugget and looked to be only a few days or weeks old. Both mama and baby look happy as anything. What a sweet pic.

Fast forward to May 8, 2019, when Meg and Harry, 34, released the first photos of little Archie — and he really is a spitting image of baby Meg! The duchess and her son both have similar noses and mouths, though there is one thing they most likely won’t share.

Considering how dark the duchess’ hair was even at a very early age (and how little Archie’s doesn’t seem to be peeking through his hat), it seems like mom and son will definitely have different hair colors. Other than that, it looks as though these two are about to be royal twins for life.

That being said, it will be interesting to see what physical characteristics (other than that hair, because yes, we’re betting on red) the royal baby will inherit from his dad. So far, Archie looks all Meg, but that can definitely change as he grows up.

His proud parents announced his arrival on their official Instagram page on May 6 and the world was overjoyed with the news, especially considering the first-time mama went a week past her due date. The royal couple waited two days to release the first photos of their new addition, as well as announce his name.
