Priyanka Chopra Was Always Planning to Change Her Name to Jonas: ‘He Gets Added to Who I Am’
The new Mr. and Mrs.! It turns out, Priyanka Chopra had no doubts on changing her last name after getting married to Nick Jonas. The actress didn’t even know it was that much of a “big deal” until she received a huge response from fans about the decision. She sat down with Jimmy Fallon to reveal why she decided to become a Jonas.
“I always wanted to add his name to mine because I feel like we’re becoming family, and I’m a little traditional and old school like that,” the 36-year-old admitted. “But I don’t take away my identity. He gets added to who I am.”
The actress joked about the reactions from people: “The gravity of it, it’s like a big deal! I didn’t realize it was that much of a big deal until I did it.”
As far as names go, the India native has a lot more ideas to enhance their newlywed game. She is dying for their celebrity couple name to be “Prick,” which is … an option. “I think it’s so cool and unique … Nick doesn’t like it, though. It’s not catching on,” the brunette beauty teased.
She divulged that married life with the 26-year-old is “different,” mainly because they started sharing their New York and Los Angeles homes. “Nothing works in my house because I’m never in my house,” the Quantico actress confessed about her NYC digs. “So the coffee machine doesn’t work, the air conditioning makes some sounds. It’s cute, my house is beautiful, but nothing works.”
As for the JoBro, he keeps a tidy estate. “And everything in Nick’s house is immaculate. Like his alarms work. My alarms never work! My doorbell doesn’t work.”
Even though she disclosed that her dog peed on his white carpet, the two are still making it work. Love is greater than any clean rug!
