Newlywed bliss! Priyanka Chopra made her first television appearance since marrying Nick Jonas and she couldn’t stop gushing about her new hubby. She sat down with Ellen DeGeneres and made us all swoon as she raved about what an amazing guy the JoBro is.
“He’s nice, and it shocks me how he’s not been corrupted. You know, when you’re in entertainment for a long time,” the 36-year-old said. “He’s so family driven, it’s all about his parents. He’s just really nice and sweet.” The pair has always connected on their family values and it’s great to see they’ve found their perfect match.
After explaining that they didn’t really know much about each other before meeting, the actress confessed that they did a little “show and tell” after they started dating. The pair showed each other their best work along with a few embarrassing things they did in their career.
The brunette beauty and 26-year-old singer exchanged vows during a three-day affair in India. While a couple hundred people sound like a huge turnout, the duo actually tried to keep it as intimate as possible. “Usually, Indian weddings are like 1,000 people, at least. We only had 200, which was mostly family, because both of us have giant families,” the Quantico actress divulged. “I think we just wanted to keep it super intimate about just family.”
Like most moms when it comes to their daughter’s wedding, Mrs. Chopra had a few opinions about the guest count. “My mother was so upset with me the whole time. She was like I need to have another party for the 150,000 people I know. How can I not invite my jeweler? How can I not invite my hairdresser? So it was a whole conversation,” the former Miss World joked.
It looks like Priyanka and Nick are going to live happily ever after.
