Sorry, Kim Kardashian! It looks like you’re out of luck from taking your signature selfies at this year’s Met Gala because they’re officially banned!

Following in the footsteps of the Kentucky Derby and Coachella, who banned selfie-sticks, ‘Vogue’ decided to take it a step further and ban all selfies and video in general.

According to ‘PageSix,’ all guests have been sent notices stating, “The use of phones for photography and social media will not be permitted inside the gala.”

Some claim the theory behind doing so is that ‘Vogue’ wants more creative control of the images, while others believe it’s because there’s a documentary being filmed during the Met Gala, called “China: Through the Looking Glass.”

The most likely reason could be to prevent situations from last year repeating, like when designer Cynthia Rowley snuck a GoPro in her bag. (Which, BTW, was pure genius!)
