Viewers are not pushing the golden buzzer for Simon Cowell. The British judge on America's Got Talent has sparked plastic surgery rumors on the talent competition thanks to his slightly altered appearance.
While it's no surprise Simon has aged since he made his premiere on US televisions in 2002 on American Idol, fans think he has gone under the knife to stop the hands of time. "Simon Cowell has had plastic surgery, hasn't he? It's terrible," one viewer tweeted while another added, "@SimonCowell you're plastic surgery/botox on your face looks utterly awful."
The 58-year-old has admitted to going "overboard" on Botox, once telling The Daily Mail, "Hopefully I look better now — I probably did have a little too much Botox a couple of years ago because everyone on TV has it."
He also admitted to trying a placenta facial in the past, and more bizarre beauty treatments to achieve a youthful glow. "Once in LA, years ago, I met this girl who would wrap me up in cling film and then tin foil, after covering me in oils," he added. "It was meant to be detoxing. She then put me in this tube in my house, locked me into it for an hour, and told me what she liked or didn't like on the show."
But is the usually honest judge hiding something when it comes to his appearance? "I do not really think that he had something done," Dr. Vartan Mardirossian, who has never treated Simon, told Life & Style exclusively.
However, plastic surgeon Dr. Andrew Miller thinks the father-of-one is still dabbling with cosmetic procedures. "The only things I see are possibly some filler in the cheeks as they are slightly fuller and some Botox in the frown lines because they are a bit flatter in the later photo," he said.
America's Got Talent airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EST on NBC.
