‘Fortnight’ Cinematographer Says Taylor Swift ‘Felt Very Supported’ by Travis Kelce on Music Video Set
Travis Kelce was happy to cheer on girlfriend Taylor Swift from the sidelines on the set of the “Fortnight” music video.
Rodrigo Prieto, the cinematographer for the Grammy-nominated video, shared his observations about the pop star, 34, and her boyfriend, 35, on the “Fortnight” set in an interview with People published on Wednesday, December 4.
“Travis is a lovely man. They both are,” Rodrigo, 59, told the outlet. “I would say that it seems like their parents educated them well. They are not just polite, but actually interested in what others have to say. I think she felt very supported by his presence, and probably also proud to show him what she does, and the kind of leader she is.”
The film director continued of Taylor, “She makes her own kind of touchdowns! And her crew follows her lead, not only because she is the boss, but because she has demonstrated to be a strong and inspired director.”
Taylor revealed in her acceptance speech after her Artist of the Year win at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards that Travis had been there to support her on set of the “Fortnight” video, which she directed and starred in alongside Post Malone.
“The thing is that this video seems very sad when you watch it, but it actually was like the most fun video to make… I would always just hear, like, someone, like, cheering and like, ‘Woooo,’ like from across the studio where we were shooting it. And that one person was my boyfriend Travis,” she said during the September 11 awards show.

The “So High School” hitmaker continued of the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, who was unable to attend the ceremony, “Everything this man touches turns to happiness and fun and magic. So, I wanna thank him for adding that to our shoot because I’ll always remember that.”
Travis later showed his appreciation for his girlfriend’s shoutout by “liking” a clip of her speech that MTV shared on Instagram with the caption, “One person ONLY cheers louder for @taylorswift than I do – and that’s @killatrav.”
Of course, Taylor has returned the support for her man, whom she began dating in July 2023. Travis revealed in October that the Grammy winner visited him on the set of Prime Video’s Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?, which he hosts.
“Taylor was there and obviously I always love having Taylor’s support,” he told Entertainment Tonight. “I’ve always had that support from my family and friends. I do the same for them in every way of life that I can, and I’m just very fortunate in that for sure.”
The “Lavender Haze” singer previously opened up about her and Travis “showing up for each other” at football games and Eras tour concerts in her Time Person of the Year interview in December 2023.
“When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care,” she explained. “The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone. And we’re just proud of each other.”
