Duchess Meghan Markle gave birth on May 6 and fans have anxiously been wondering: What is the royal baby’s name? The brunette beauty and Prince Harry haven’t officially announced yet but there are some strong contenders if the duo decides to go down the traditional route.

Arthur, Alexander and James have been theorized by fans since the royal family created three URLs to reserve the names on their official website. Considering Meghan, 37, and her royal hubby, 34, did indeed welcome a son, these options are all strong possibilities.

Another moniker that has also been in the running is Charles (Harry’s father’s name). The seasoned royal played a large part in their wedding after Meghan’s estranged father, Thomas Markle, did not attend. He also reportedly gifted his new daughter-in-law a diamond bracelet for her big day, which she has been spotted wearing frequently.

Whatever name the newest little royal carries, fans are delighted about the arrival. “We are pleased to announce that Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their firstborn child in the early morning on May 6th, 2019. Their Royal Highnesses’ son weighs 7lbs. 3oz.,” Harry and Meghan’s birth announcement read on their Instagram account.

The statement continued by noting that both mother and baby are doing well. “The Duchess and baby are both healthy and well, and the couple thank members of the public for their shared excitement and support during this very special time in their lives.”

People can’t stop congratulating the duo over their new bundle of joy. “We could not be more excited for you and your family! Sending all the love for happy healthy journey together. You are a magnificent duo and the world is blessed to have your new sweet soul here!” one fan commented. Someone else added, “Can’t wait to see his cute face.” A separate user joked, “The longest pregnancy of all time is over!”

Meghan announced that she was expecting back in October 2018 and we’re glad the wait is finally over. Congrats to the happy family!
