Beyoncé and Jay Z may be American royalty, but they still couldn't manage to score seats next to the real deal!
Royals Prince William and Kate Middleton were on hand to watch the second half of the Brooklyn Nets game at the famed Barclays Center on Monday night, but the music moguls were seated nowhere near them.
Instead, former NBA star, Dikembe Mutombo, and Irina Pavlova, President of ONEXIM Sports and Entertainment Holding USA, were the lucky pair tasked with entertaining the Brits all night.

The royal couple emerged during the third quarter, sitting across the court from the Grammy winners, who were no longer the most famous individuals in the place — surely a new experience for the power duo.
After waiting on pins and needles, Bey and Jay finally got their chance to meet William and Kate, shaking hands with the pair during a break between the third and fourth quarters.

But the rapper, who's worth a reported $550 million, wasn't all cool, calm and collected before the big meet-and-greet. According to eyewitnesses, he was fidgeting before greeting the Duchess!
Although the former Nets owner and his Queen got snubbed in their seating assignments, the foursome made quite a spectacle during their brief convo, one we would have liked to witness first-hand!
