When Renee Zellweger stepped out at an event on Monday evening, we hardly recognized her. But according to the actress, that's the point...?
"I'm glad folks think I look different! I'm living a different, happy, more fulfilling life, and I'm thrilled that perhaps it shows," the 45-year-old shared after her red carpet appearance at the Elle Women in Hollywood Awards.
So the "Bridget Jones" actress isn't peeved by people's comments about the noticeable difference? "My friends say that I look peaceful. I am healthy," she responded.

"For a long time I wasn't doing such a good job with that. I took on a schedule that is not realistically sustainable and didn't allow for taking care of myself," she added. "Rather than stopping to recalibrate, I kept running until I was depleted and made bad choices about how to conceal the exhaustion."
Calling all the attention on her face "silly" — eh we wouldn't go that far, girl — Renee admitted she wanted to speak out about the hoopla because, "it seems the folks who come digging around for some nefarious truth which doesn't exist won't get off my porch until I answer the door."
The Oscar winner also credited boyfriend Doyle Bramhall II for the new look, telling People magazine, "I did work that allows for being still, making a home, loving someone, learning new things, growing as a creative person and finally growing into myself."
While we're thrilled Renee is committed to living a healthier lifestyle, is the "Chicago" star really telling us her "makeover" didn't involve any form of plastic surgery?
