The lead up to Real Housewives of Atlanta stars Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker’s big day has been a wild ride, as we’ve seen week after week on the couple’s spin-off, Kandi’s Wedding*.
And things are about to get even crazier in an all new episode airing Sunday, where we'll get to see what really went down at Todd’s no holds barred bachelor party.
Luckily for us, Todd gave Life & Style a hint of what’s to come by chatting with the mag exclusively about the stripper-filled soirée!
Read below to find out what he had to say about how Mama Joyce felt about the party, the rules that Kandi gave him before the bash and which of his 'RHOA' co-stars helped keep him in line!
Was your bachelor party everything you could have ever imagined?
It was a surprise for me. I didn't know what the theme was until I showed up. It was thrown for me by Peter, Apollo and my best friend, Chad, who was also my best man. I walk in and they kind of stayed true to the "Coming to America" theme. They had women throwing rose petals at my feet, handing me a drink, sitting me on my throne which was crazy. All my buddies were there and the entertainment began!
There were lots of strippers there!
They didn't even ask me [if I wanted strippers]. I think they knew, 'Hey, this guy's going to want some strippers there,' so I just left it up to them, Peter [Thomas] and Apollo [Nida]. Between those two guys, I knew I was in good hands.
Guys tend to go crazy at their bachelor parties. Was there anything you were hoping Kandi wouldn't be seeing on TV?
We were pretty PG with it except for the little strawberry thing. When I bit from the girl's mouth I thought, 'Ehhh, you might've gone too far with that one.' I feel like I might get a pass, depending on which angle you see it from. It may look like we touched lips if you don't see it from the frontal part, but for the most part, it was just a lot of fun. It was a lot of fun, making it rain. We were just having a good time.
What does Kandi think about strippers? Does she approve?
I do have a cool wife. I think it's just the modern day thing. Strip clubs are like, for guys right now, normal. Girls go there, too, so it's kind of like, whatever! It's so funny. There's a big stripper culture in Atlanta and we've been to strip clubs together before. It's just entertaining and fun.
But we’re sure she gave you a few rules, too…
She did. We did have some rules. There was definitely no X-rated stuff happening. She said I could have a lap dance. She was OK with that.
What do you think Mama Joyce will think about all the shenanigans when she sees it on TV?
(Laughs) I wasn't worried about Mama Joyce at all, about what she would think at all. This was my bachelor party. I'm enjoying myself!
Were Apollo and Peter trying to keep you in line with all the strippers around or was it the opposite?
I don't know. I think one of the strippers had her leg up on Peter. I think everybody just looked out for everybody in those type of situations. Make sure you don't have too much to drink, don't let it go too far. It's kind of like the brother's code to make sure everybody's on point and you don't go too far and you abide by those rules that we're supposed to abide by.
What would you say was the most fun part about the bachelor party?
I really liked the little "Coming to America" theme. The rose petals thrown at your feet. That kind of boosts your ego a little bit. You sit on your thrown and you get your little crown. The king part of it, it was real cool. And the beautiful ladies of course, but I really liked the theme part. Everybody was feeding me strawberries and feeding me fruit. I was kind of being pampered and taken care of.
So did you feel like a king for the night?
I really did! I felt like a king for the night! I'm going to have to tell Kandi she's going to have to implement some of those techniques at the house!
See Todd’s wild night on tonight’s episode of 'The Real Housewives of Atlanta: Kandi’s Wedding' airing Sunday at 8 p.m. on Bravo!
