Is there anything Neil Patrick Harris can't do?
He can act, sing, dance...and make people laugh. And he did it all on last night's Emmys!
Over the course of three hours, the How I Met Your Mother star had some funny zings and even a couple dance routines. Check out our favorite moments below.
OPENING MONOLOGUEHe didn't kick off the show with a big performance number, but instead decided to showcase his talents as a comedian. "We're here to honor the best and brightest talents in our industry," he said. "They're responsible for the programs that this year made us laugh, made us cry, and for the front row made them rich." Moments later, he said, "Orange is the New Black...or as Paula Deen would have to call it, Orange is the New African American." After that, previous hosts Jimmy Kimmel, Conan O'Brien, Jimmy Fallon and Jane Lynch interrupted his speech to give him hosting advice.
EHDNPH's HIMYM co-stars, Josh Radnor, Alyson Hannigan, Cobie Smulders and Jason Segel, all taped a segment to discuss their worry over his EHD -- excessive hosting disorder. In the skit, they all give NPH an intervention. And, yes, they brought out the "Intervention Banner." Arsenio Hall shows up and takes him away to The Ryan Seacrest Center for Excessive Hosting.
NUMBER IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SHOW > DANCING IN THE OPENINGWhen 90 minutes remained, NPH gave everyone what they wanted -- a song and a dance in the middle of the show! Castle star Nathan Fillion and comedienne Sarah Silverman randomly showed off their dancing skills. And while Sarah tried not to say "vagina," she just couldn't help herself.
EVEN HE KNEW ABOUT THE UPSETS DURING THE SHOWThere were a ton of surprising winners last night, including Jeff Daniels winning for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for The Newsroom over Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston and House of Cards' Kevin Spacey. "This just in. No one in America is winning their Emmy office pool," the host quipped.
THAT CHOREOGRAPHED NUMBEROkay, so it's not really a funny moment -- but it was one of our favorites of the night and it included NPH. Before announcing the award for Outstanding Choreography, the host took everyone behind-the-scenes of telling the nominees that they would put together a number for the Emmys. And what they created was simply epic. Watch below!
