There's a lot of drama surrounding the making of Fast and Furious 9 for it to be an action movie! It was recently announced that the release of the ninth installment of the popular franchise would be pushed until 2020. The flick was originally planned to be released on April 19, 2019, but Universal Pictures did not reveal a reason for delaying the film to April 10, 2020. That hasn't stopped star Tyrese Gibson from hurling insults at his co-star Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and blaming him for the film's delay.

“Congratulations to @TheRock and your brother in law aka 7 bucks producing partner @hhgarcia41 for making the fast and the furious franchise about YOU," Tyrese wrote in an Instagram post on Wednesday night. “And like you, DJ even if they call I will not be deleting this post – Gn folks see you in 2020 April #FastFamily right? Nah….. it’s about #TeamDewayne #3yrs will it be worth the wait? #NoShaw just Hobbs will this be another #BayWatch? Guys guys just relax I’m just a passionate film critic.”

Tyrese not only blamed The Rock for holding up the movie, but he also took a dig at his other movie, Baywatch which tanked at the box office. Fans were, of course, quick to comment on the post and not all came to Tyrese's defense. "Bruh do other movies nobody want another fast n furious right now not even the rock," one fan wrote. While another fan had a different perspective writing, "The rock should've never been it it he messed up the whole thing by putting him in these movies."

Rumors have been circulating that a spin-off film is in the works focusing on The Rock's character, Luke Hobbs, which could postpone upcoming future Fast installments. Tyrese seems to believe that is the reason for the delay because he wrote in September that the studio is choosing to focus on the "Hobbs movie" instead. We hope they're able to work it out!
