Ariel Winter Is Serving Us Some Serious Pout Goals in Her Latest Instagram Pic
What a pout! Ariel Winter is kind of used to the obsession that people have with her changing looks, so it’s no shocker that they had quite a lot to say about her newest look. The Modern Family star took to Instagram on Sunday, Nov. 19 to share a pic of her hair and makeup combo, but fans pointed out that Ariel’s lips looked plumper than usual. The 19-year-old hasn’t responded to the comments, which is something she’s learned how to do from a young age. She was 11 years old when she earned her breakout role on Modern Family, and since then she’s been subjected to online bullying for her every move when it comes to her body — from going through puberty while growing up on camera, to being open about her breast reduction, to the way she decides to dress her curvy frame.
In a recent interview with Us Weekly, Ariel explained just how bad the bullying got. She said that at first, she was teased for being skinny at 11 years old, but she was also teased when she started to develop her curves. Ariel spent years crash-dieting to try to control her weight and at some point, she decided that it wasn’t worth it. Instead, she started to embrace her body and dressed her curves, and that’s when bullies started to call her awful names like “slut” or “fat hooker.”
“It was really disappointing that people would hate me so much for dressing how I wanted to,” she told Us Weekly, and she explained her method for blocking out her haters. “It’s difficult to not write something sassy, but I feel better when I write something positive. Maybe they’ll not write something hurtful next time. It makes you feel better about yourself.”
