New Father Artem Chigvintsev Reveals What ‘Dada Time’ With ‘Angel’ Son Matteo Is Like
Daddy duty! Dancing With the Stars pro Artem Chigvintsev shared a touching video of some quality father-son time with his newborn, Matteo, whom he shares with fiancée Nikki Bella.
“Dada time with my Angel,” the 38-year-old gushed in his Instagram caption on Tuesday, September 1. The proud papa could be seen kissing and talking to his baby boy as Matteo laid against his chest in a carrier. Unfortunately, the clip didn’t have sound, so we couldn’t hear the specific sweet nothings Artem was telling his son — but we can tell it was cute as heck.
The same day, the Russian dancer revealed the family’s precious nickname for their one-month-old. “Happy one month, my little Teo,” Artem captioned a photo of himself holding his first child.
The ballroom dancer and the WWE alum, 36, welcomed their bundle of joy on July 31. Nikki’s twin sister, Brie Bella, gave birth to her second child — a boy named Buddy Dessert — with husband Daniel Bryan just one day later on August 1.
The sisters were “hoping” to give birth “on the same day,” an insider exclusively told Life & Style, but bringing their little boys into the world one day apart was “close enough” for the proud twins. “Nikki and Brie gave birth on almost the same day, and they couldn’t be happier about it,” the source gushed in the days following the births. “There was no sibling rivalry between them when it came to sharing their special day.”
Naturally, the Total Bellas stars are “already close,” so it’s no surprise that “carrying their babies together and then giving birth so close has only strengthened their bond.”
Artem and his wife-to-be have been adjusting to parenthood — and it’s put wedding planning on the back burner for the time being. “When I got engaged, the one thing I would have loved to do was the wedding planning, but I was so shocked when I found out I got pregnant,” Nikki exclusively told Life & Style in April, five months after their November 2019 engagement.
“I found out literally, like, less than two weeks later or two weeks later, and it just rocked us,” she explained. “I told Artem, I was like, ‘Artem, we have this baby, we can not do wedding planning because I just need to wrap my head around, like, I’m going to be a mom in less than nine months!’”
Clearly, this cute couple was born to be parents.
