She was always so stylish. In honor of what would have been Audrey Hepburn’s 90th birthday, we decided to put together a gallery of some of her most iconic looks, in no particular order. Audrey was an actress, model, dancer, and humanitarian. She did a lot of amazing activism work in addition to the acting roles she took on.

Memorable
And while she probably didn’t want to just be remembered for her looks, it can’t be denied that she had some very memorable ones – like her Breakfast at Tiffany’s outfit, which is often recreated for Halloween costumes and photo shoots.

Audrey had an uncanny ability to rock any look she donned, like this one where she mixed a feminine outfit with an athletic setting.

Ideal
Even when she was dressed down, Audrey stunned. In 1954, fashion photographer Cecil Beaton said Audrey was the “public embodiment of our new feminine ideal” in Vogue.
Audrey’s style is often described as “minimalistic” — lots of black, with simple silhouettes and accessories.

For the most part, though, Audrey’s looks can be described with one word — classic. Whether she was in a dress or trousers, she somehow always looked refined.

That Hair Tho
Her short locks also added to Audrey’s iconic status. To this day, longer hair on women tends to be the norm, but Audrey wasn’t afraid to break boundaries in that area of style.

The Brows
And the brows? Forget about it. A lot of women would kill to the have the full, dark brows Audrey rocked in so many photographs.

Special
In particular, Audrey shared a special relationship with designer Givenchy, who designed her black dress in Breakfast at Tiffany’s and almost her whole wardrobe in How to Steal a Million.

Fun
Her How to Steal a Million looks are especially fun, though they don’t always get the attention that her Breakfast outfit does.

So Real
Above all, Audrey always appeared very “real” — women related to her look, and it seemed more attainable than that of some other big names of the day like Grace Kelly and Elizabeth Taylor.

Sadly, the actress passed away in her sleep in 1993 at her home. She was just 63 years old.

Authentic
Audrey is remembered for much more than just her looks, but it’s still fun to look back at her most iconic outfits. No matter what she was wearing, she was always authentically Audrey.
