When Bachelor Nation alums head to the beaches of Mexico to film Bachelor in Paradise, they know it’s not just all about love. From the theme song to the talking animals, the spin-off show is as silly as it is romantic — but like The Bachelor and The Bachelorette, it also brings the drama. As we settle down to watch season 6, we can’t help but wonder which singles will couple up. The show has led to some pretty legendary relationships over the years, and ushered in more than a few engagements. Though we’re already shipping some couples (and we’ve heard spoilers about who pops the question), we’re celebrating all the potential love by remembering all the engagements from BIP seasons past. Check out the gallery below to relive all the Bachelor in Paradise proposals.

Lacy Faddoul and Marcus Grodd
Lacy and Marcus made Bachelor Nation history as the first couple to get engaged on Paradise. Way back in season 1, they were one of two couples to make it to the end, and after Marcus popped the question, the two tied the knot during the season premiere of BIP 2.

Broken Up
However, after the couple split up in 2016, they revealed that the Chris Harrison-officiated ceremony wasn’t actually the real deal. While chatting exclusively with Life & Style, Marcus revealed, “When we came back [from Paradise], we were supposed to start the paperwork. But she stalled.” Eventually, Lacy called it quits and the two went their separate ways.

Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert
On season 2, it seemed like Jade and Tanner had a pretty much instant connection — and they quickly became one of the franchise’s most iconic couples. Their wedding was later televised as part of a Bachelor special.

Four years later, the couple is still happily married — and they welcomed baby No. 2, a boy named Brooks Easton, in July 2019, just weeks before daughter Emerson Avery turns two. “We are over the moon for our little guy,” Tanner said. “Emmy just met her little brother — she greeted him with a kiss on the head, so I guess that means she will allow us to bring him home!”

Carly Waddell and Evan Bass
As the bride’s BFF, Carly wanted to find a Jade-and-Tanner kind of love — but when she first met Evan, she was seriously turned off. Luckily, she came around before the season ended, and by the season 3 finale, they were engaged. Their wedding was featured during season 4 of the show.

Not long after their wedding, the couple announced that they were pregnant with baby No. 1, a daughter they named Bella. Now, they’ve also got a second on the way — and, like her BFF, Carly’s also having a little boy. “Beer Belly, Bella Belly, BABY BELLY!!!” Carly joked on Instagram in May. “We [are] so SO EXCITED to FINALLY announce Bella’s little brother or sister will be here in November!!!”

Amanda Stanton and Josh Murray
Amanda and Josh were also a major romance on season 3 of BIP, and at the end of the show, he got down on one knee and popped the question. Unfortunately, the romance didn’t last. Three months after their engagement aired on TV, they called it off — and things quickly turned nasty between them.

Lace Morris and Grant Kemp
Lace and Grant seemed like an unlikely romance on the show, especially after her rocky start with villain Chad Johnson. As the weeks passed, though, #Grace became stronger than ever — and the duo even got their ship name tattooed on their wrists before getting engaged on the show. Within a few months, the relationship fell apart, but both stars insisted it was a mutual break.

Taylor Nolan and Derek Peth
No couples got engaged during season 4 of Bachelor in Paradise, but while filming the reunion show, Derek got down on one knee and popped the question to Taylor. Less than a year later, however, the couple revealed they’d called off their engagement in a joint statement. The stars seemingly blamed their long-distance status for the split.

Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon
They’re the most famous will-they-won’t-they couple of the franchise, with most fans having landed decidedly on “won’t they.” After years of Ashley pining for Jared after they first connected on season 2 of the show, they finally got together. During season 5, the groom-to-be whisked his bride back to the beaches of Mexico so he could pop the question where they first met.

Krystal Neilson and Chris Randone
Speaking of season 5, Krystal and Chris, a.k.a. #GlitterGoose, have also become one of the franchise’s most successful couples. As two controversial figures, both stars found redemption in their romance, and he popped the question at the end of the show. Their wedding is set to be televised later this season.

Jenna Cooper and Jordan Kimball
Jordan was pretty much head-over-heels in love from the second he met Jenna, and he popped the question on the season 5 finale. But we all know that it wasn’t exactly meant to be. Within days of the reunion airing, the couple split following allegations that Jenna had cheated and was only using her fiancé for fame.

Broken Up
Though Jenna denied all the claims and insisted that she had “forensic evidence” that would prove she didn’t cheat, the couple was never able to reconcile, and it seems they haven’t kept in touch since.

Raven Gates and Adam Gottschalk
Raven and Adam may have ended season 4 as a couple, but they didn’t actually get engaged until a year and a half later. After taking some time to see what life is like as a couple in the real world, Adam popped the question on May 31.

Bonus: Kendall Long and Joe Amabile
Kendall and Joe may not be engaged, but after breaking up during season 5 only to reunite before the reunion show, these two are definitely one of BIP‘s most legendary couples. After nearly a year together, the couple has moved in to their own apartment in Los Angeles, California, and even sparked engagement rumors with a diamond ring. Though Kendall exclusively dished to Life & Style that Joe hasn’t proposed just yet, we’re crossing our fingers that a big question is on its way.

Bonus: Astrid Loch and Kevin Wendt
Astrid and Kevin are also a BIP power couple despite not getting engaged during season 5, following a similar trajectory as Joe and Kendall. However, we’ve got the feeling that a proposal isn’t far off. The two moved in together in Canada during 2018, and Astrid recently joked to E! that a ring might be in the works. “He has until I turn 30 to propose,” said 29-year-old Astrid.
