Music to our ears! The Backstreet Boys recently teamed up with Chance The Rapper for a new Super Bowl commercial. Now, Howie Dorough, from the beloved boy band, revealed to Life & Style that there could be more collaborations between the boy band and music artist in the future. “The door is now open for both of us to hopefully work together on the next album,” Howie, 45, exclusively told Life & Style. “Chance was such an easy, great, upstanding gentleman to work with. I think we just hit it off very well. As soon as we all started talking on the set there … I think it was an admiration for both of us, for each other’s work. It’s hopefully a relationship that we can hopefully continue on.”

The dad-of-two revealed that the Backstreet Boys were bummed that they couldn’t put the rapper, 25, on their new record that came out on January 25. “We actually had a perfect song that would have been great for him to come on in and done a guest appearance on,” he confessed.

So, what was the song called? “One of them that we thought would have been kind of cool was ‘New Love.’ It has got this funky sound, beats and everything to it,” he said. “When I originally heard it, I was like, ‘Wow, this is kind of like an Outcast throwback, kind of thing.’ I think Chance would have killed it if we had him on that.”

Well, don’t give up hope just yet! Howie said that there is a song called “Hey” that didn’t make the new album, but hints that it would be interesting for the two to reunite on that track. We are crossing our fingers!

In the new Super Bowl ad, the Backstreet Boys and Chance the Rapper partnered with Doritos to celebrate its new boldest flavor, Flamin’ Hot Nacho. The slogan is, “The original, now it’s hot,” and that’s exactly why the commercial made total sense to the five pop stars.

“I actually remember going, ‘This is genius.’ It’s so cool because it’s taking something original and making it hot, and that is totally what we are,” the Florida native said. “It’s about putting collaborations together that you think wouldn’t be possible. I think a lot of people probably wouldn’t off the bat think Backstreet Boys and Chance, but you put the combination together, and like I said, with the great product behind us like Doritos, it just all works together.”

It sounds like it was a match made in music heaven!
