Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s Divorce Is Taking So Long Because She Wants to Reconcile (EXCLUSIVE)
More than 14 months after their very public split — which included an FBI investigation — Life & Style has exclusively learned the reason behind Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s divorce deadlock: She wants to reconcile. Angie, who blindsided Brad by filing papers in September 2016, wants a second chance, even though she’s made it difficult for him to see their six kids, Maddox, 16, Pax, 13, Zahara, 12, Shiloh, 11, and nine-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
But the actor isn’t interested. The 53-year-old is telling pals there are “a million reasons” why he’ll never reconcile with Angie, 42, and that he’s better off without her, a source reveals. As In Touch previously reported, he just wants the marriage to be over. “In hopes of getting Angie to sign off on the divorce, Brad started throwing huge financial settlement offers at her lawyer,” the source shares, adding that the brunette beauty rejected them all.

A different insider previously told Life & Style that the Fight Club star has turned a corner since he was portrayed as an alcoholic with an anger problem by his ex. “There are two choices for Brad,” the insider noted. “Fight back and get angry every time she pulls a stunt, which would only impacts the kids, or handle it like a mature adult.”
And Brad has made a concerted effort to stay close by during this emotional transition. “[He’s] determined to spend as much time as possible with his children,” a source explained. “He’s specifically working on movie projects based in California so he can be near them.” He’s currently producing the movie Backseat and starring in the sci-fi thriller Ad Astra, both of which are filming in Santa Clarita, just north of LA.
Despite Angelina’s desire to make things work, “Brad knows he can’t count on scheduled days with the kids,” the second insider shared, “because Angie has changed the plans abruptly at the last minute multiple times.”
