Supporting Bae! Camila Cabello Makes Surprise Appearance at Shawn Mendes’ Concert for ‘Señorita’ Duet
This steamy new couple just can’t stop performing together! Singer Camila Cabello jetted off to boyfriend Shawn Mendes‘ hometown of Toronto to make a surprise appearance at the 21-year-old’s concert on September 6. How sweet, y’all!
According to a fan video posted to Twitter, the Canadian crooner gave his new girl a kiss — on the cheek — right as the lights went down on the end of their hit song, “Señorita,” and the crowd went absolutely crazy. Believe it or not, this performance was the second time the couple has performed together.
The pop stars played into their budding relationship while playing the track at the MTV Video Music Awards on August 25 … and almost kissed onstage. Almost, of course, but the tension was palpable! But that doesn’t mean we haven’t seen these two macking on each other since the romance rumors started back in July.
The cute couple has been spotted holding hands and packing on the PDA in several different cities and Camila even professed her love for the hunk at his 21st birthday party in early August. Recently, she showed up for her man and came out to one of his performances in Brooklyn, despite her packed VMAs rehearsal schedule.
“She definitely wasn’t supposed to be there last night because she had VMAs rehearsals but she also definitely wanted to support her man so she showed up,” a source told Life & Style exclusively. “She could have finished rehearsals early and showed up,” the insider added. “We were told she wasn’t coming BUT I GUESS YOUNG LOVE PREVAILS!”
Indeed it does — which is why the former Fifth Harmony member is determined to stay quiet about her blossoming romance. “I don’t know; people can say whatever they want to say. They can speculate, but at the same time, we are going to live our own lives, enjoy it, and fall for each other like nobody is watching,” she recently told Elle for their Women In Music cover story.
“That is how I want to live. I never want to open the door for people to feel like they are involved,” she affirmed. “Like I said, I want it to be mine and [his]. That’s why I’m so tight-lipped about it: because I want to protect it.”
