Camila Cabello Trolls Shawn Mendes Breakup Rumors: ‘When Were You Gonna Tell Me?’
Someone’s over the rumors! Singer Camila Cabello took it upon herself to troll any and all gossip about a potential breakup between herself and her boyfriend, Shawn Mendes. The 22-year-old set the record straight on her Instagram Stories on October 19.
“Well when THE F—K were you gonna tell me @shawnmendes,” the brunette beauty captioned a screengrab of an article with the headline “Proof Shawn and Camila Are Broken Up.” Yikes. Clearly, Camila didn’t exactly agree with the speculation — but we’re glad she took a moment to make it funny.
It seems as though her boyfriend felt similarly about the situation because he made his own little Instagram ~commentary~ on the subject, too. The 21-year-old posted a sweet photo of the couple cuddled up close, with his girlfriend’s face concealed but her identity obvious (you can’t mistake that hair!). Shawn and Camila’s posts were made within an hour of one another.
Camila commented on the adorable pic with four heart and arrow emojis, making her love for her man totally clear to anyone else in the comments section. Singer-songwriter Ryan Tedder even dubbed the duo, “Bonnie and Clyde ;)”
Fans and followers, of course, had a lot of sweet things to say on Shawn’s post … basically proving their love has yet to die. “Things that are meant to be are meant to be,” one follower gushed, while another wrote, “Best couple ever!!”
Despite the cuteness of the ~scenario~, this wouldn’t be the first time Shawmila has trolled the internet regarding their highly-discussed relationship. Back in mid-September, the pop stars addressed the wave of fan comments saying they “kissed like fish.”
The former Fifth Harmony member admitted in the vid that the snark about their kissing style “really hurt our feelings.” The couple then decided to show “how they really kiss” and then they essentially ate each other’s faces. The clip ended with them cracking up together — trolling, by definition.
The couple started sparking dating rumors back in July, when PDA packed photos of the now-couple started popping up all over the internet. They were a bit coy about their connection at first, but finally admitted something was brewing by September. We see you two!
