Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello Respond to Fans Saying ‘They Kiss Like Fish’ and We’re Not OK
Getting silly! Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello shared the most hilarious (and cringeworthy) makeout video after fans said they “looked like fish” when they kissed. The two responded to the strange critique by going at it in the most awkward way ever.
Shawn, 21, posted the video during the early hours of September 12 and geotagged their location in Mexico. The brunette beauty, 22, admitted in the video that the comments about their kissing style “really hurt our feelings.” They then showed “how they really kiss” and began to basically eat each other’s faces. The clip ends with the pop stars laughing hysterically.
A slew of the “Stitches” singer’s famous friends commented on the quirky post. “I think this video got me pregnant,” YouTuber Nikita Dragun wrote. Nick Tangorra added, “I don’t know what to say other than I love you guys.” Tana Mongeau also noted, “This is [ingrained] in my brain forever.” Honestly, same.
Although the adorable couple played coy about their romance early on, they’ve frequently been spotted holding hands and smooching all over the place. Shawn publicly addressed the fact that he is ~off the market~ on August 30 when a fan asked if he was in love during a post-show Q&A in Connecticut. “Honestly, I wanna say I wanna talk to you guys about this stuff but it’s not just me in the relationship! There’s another person involved. I can’t say things that I feel,” he told the group in a video captured on Twitter. “It’s not just me deciding, you know?”
There is no denying Shawn and Camila’s insane chemistry since they released the music video for their new song, “Señorita.” The duo put on an equally steamy performance during the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards on August 26 where they allllllmost kissed multiple times. They ended up walking off stage hand-in-hand and we were all completely shook over their cuteness.
