As we approach yet another new year, it’s time to make some resolutions — and what better way to start off 2018 than by opting to get in shape? Whether it’s for weight loss, energy, or a quick tone-up, we asked our favorite stars about their diet and exercise regimens so that we can follow suit.

“Weight loss is the least likely New Year’s Resolution to be achieved. Research shows that fewer than one percent of people with a serious weight problem are going to get into a right-sized body in any given year,” New York Times Best-Selling author and founder of Bright Line Eating, Dr. Susan Peirce Thompson, told USA Today. However, she continued, “If you take Jan. 1 as an opportunity to entrust yourself into the care of a proven system, then absolutely, [New Year’s resolutions] can be effective.”
