Nothing but love here! Channing Tatum and Amanda Bynes starred in She’s The Man together back in 2006. During her recent interview with Paper magazine, Amanda looked back not-so-fondly on the effect the film had on her mental health. However, she was still able to gush about Channing and the sparkle he brought to the big screen. As it turns out, Channing had just as nice things to say about his former co-star.

ICYMI, Amanda admitted during her tell-all interview with Paper that she went into “a deep depression for four to six months” after the release of She’s The Man because she was so bothered by how she looked dressed as a man. She also took credit for discovering the Magic Mike actor. She revealed, “I totally fought for Channing [to get cast in] that movie, because he wasn’t famous yet. He’d just done a Mountain Dew commercial, and I was like, ‘This guy’s a star — every girl will love him!’ But [the producers] were like, ‘He’s so much older than all of you!’ And I was like, ‘It doesn’t matter! Trust me!'”

When Channing was asked what he thought about Amanda’s statements during a Magic Mike Live press event in London, he responded with “Oh, I don’t know about all that,” in reference to him being a “star.” We stan a humble hunk. He also had a lot of positive things to say about Amanda: “I love her and I just hope she’s doing well…I’m so happy she’s killing it again and just back on the right. She’s so talented and so special. She’s been doing it…I mean, I think it’s so impossible when you start at such a young age to keep perspective. It’s tough.”

He added, “She was just so alive. You never knew what was going to come out her mouth, she was just on fire…I haven’t seen her in so long. I love you, Amanda, and I hope you’re doing well.” So sweet. It looks like these two are living in a shade-free zone.
