Demi Burnett Admits She Was ‘Into’ Mike Johnson on ‘BIP’ But He ‘Chose’ Not to Talk to Her
Wait … Demi Burnett and Mike Johnson flirting?! The Bachelor alum and the former Bachelorette contestant got a little flirty on Twitter on August 21 — and Demi revealed she was “into” Mike while they both appeared on season 6 of Bachelor in Paradise, but he “chose” not to speak to her on the island.
It all started when Demi, 25, took to Twitter to shade haters who criticized her sexuality. “Oh y’all shut up about ‘I tHoUgHt YoU LiKeD wOmEn’ I do you f—king freaks but I also like tall skinny blonde-headed boys and that’s OK!!” the reality TV babe wrote.
Mike, 32, used the opportunity to flirt with the Texas native. “… So tall [caramel] skin-toned athletic build guys aren’t your thing #f—k LOL,” he replied to her tweet. “Mike, you know I was into you and you chose not to talk to me in Paradise,” Demi quipped back and added a crying laughing emoji. “They edited that out,” Mike responded with a zany face emoji.
While appearing on the summer dating reality series, Demi fell for fellow contestant Kristian Haggerty and the pair became the first same-sex couple in franchise history. They got engaged during the season finale — but split up just three months later in October 2019. The starlet exclusively told Life & Style the exes “do not talk at all” in May.
After her breakup with Kristian, 27, Demi went on to date Slater Davis, a Los Angeles-based musician. The pair quarantined together … which caused lots of disagreements and fights, according to the reality star. The former flames split in late June.
When it comes to Mike, the Bachelor Nation babe isn’t the only Demi he’s had eyes for. The Air Force veteran had a fling with singer Demi Lovato in September 2019. “We’re just two people trying to get to know each other,” the heartthrob exclusively told Life & Style at the time. Things fizzled out by November when the “Sober” singer went Instagram official with then-boyfriend Austin Wilson.
The Making The Love You Want author appeared on season 15 of The Bachelorette and was eliminated by Hannah Brown during week 7. We hope both Bachelor Nation stars find someone they connect with soon!
