Over before it begins? Tayshia Adams slammed rumors that she and John Paul Jones are broken up. The two rekindled their romance after leaving Bachelor in Paradise separately and officially announced that they are still an item during the finale aftershow on September 17. The episode was filmed a few weeks ago and some reports surfaced that claimed the reality pair had since split. However, Tayshia confirmed that they still are very much TayPJ.

After the reality pair went public with their romance, Tayshia posted a photo of the two loved up by the pool. One thing is for sure: They make one gorgeous couple.

Reality Steve says y’all are no longer together,” a fan inquisitively commented on the cute Instagram photo. Tayshia simply responded, “Guess what … He’s wrong!!!!” with a winking emoji. This came as a huge relief to fans because the couple unexpectedly made a big splash among viewers this season.

“I did not expect to be as invested in JPJ and Tayshia — and yet here I am,” one user admitted on Twitter during the finale. “Omg Tayshia and JPJ are together?!? This show is MAGICAL,” someone else added. Another viewer gushed, “My cheeks hurt from smiling. I love JPJ and Tayshia so so so so much.”

Our hearts broke when Tayshia ended things with JPJ on the beach in Mexico after he planned the most adorable prom-themed date. He confessed that he was falling in love with her but she was worried that her feelings weren’t where they were supposed to be. She later admitted that she was torn over whether or not she made the right decision to let him go at that moment.

“Honestly, I felt like I’d made a really big mistake letting someone go that genuinely cared about me, but also I knew that my heart wasn’t there, so I didn’t wanna lead him on or anything,” she explained to Entertainment Tonight during the finale taping.

The split hit JPJ equally hard and he left the beach feeling pretty crushed. “It was very difficult in that moment,” the former contestant from Hannah Brown‘s season reflected. “I was very skeptical of going to Paradise to begin with, and I just didn’t have a great experience romantically on The Bachelorette, so it really just kinda questioned the authenticity of everything.”

We’re glad these two found love!
