The “Thinking Out Loud” singer is looking better than ever thanks to this 50-pound weight loss.

After taking a hiatus from touring and a diet of pizza and beer, Ed, 25, revealed his weight jumped to over 200 pounds. However, his girlfriend quickly put him on a strict workout regime.

“I didn’t realize how active I was on tour,” he told Total Access on Signal 1 radio. “My diet was pizza and beer, but because I was doing two hours a night I was really in shape.”

He continued, “I stopped touring and carried on my diet of pizza and beer. Suddenly I didn’t fit in anything.”

Luckily for him, all his weight loss required was a few minutes of cardio each day.

“I did ten minutes a day without fail – intervals of 30 seconds sprinting and 30 jogging,” he explained. “The key is to not miss a day, so you don’t have to do an hour.”

Now the famous redhead is back down to 160 pounds — and happier than ever.

One person who is definitely proud of his transformation is BFF Taylor Swift, who Ed opened up about in a recent interview.

“There’s an underdog element to it. Taylor was never the popular kid in school. I was never the popular kid in school,” he told British GQ. “Then you get to the point when you become the most popular kid in school – and we both take it a bit too far.”

“She wants to be the biggest female artist in the world and I want to be the biggest male artist in the world. It also comes from always being told that you can’t do something and being like, ‘F–k you. I can.’”
