Accessories are always the way to go! Harry Styles got his right ear pierced ahead of the Met Gala, which takes place on May 6, and it’s safe to say we cannot handle it.

The former boyband member, 25, is a cochair at the event, making this the perfect time to experiment with his look. This year’s theme is Camp: Notes on Fashion, and based on that and Harry’s history with fashion, we’re sure fans can expect something bold and unforgettable.

Fans were quick to spot the earring while he left the Pre-Met Gala dinner on Sunday. May 5. “The earring is real, I’m alive!” tweeted one person. Meanwhile, other fans couldn’t help but share hilarious meme reactions, including one of YouTuber Bretman Rock continuously yelling “Yes!” TBH, such a mood.

Anna Wintour, the fashion mastermind behind the Met Gala, is a fan of the pop star’s style choices, too. In a recent Q&A video, Vogue’s editor-in-chief, 69, answered fans’ most pressing questions about the extravagant event. When asked what she thinks Harry will wear to the ball, she couldn’t help but gush over his style.

“Harry Styles always looks fantastic. I think that he reminds me so much of a young Mick Jagger. So, I think all of us, all of his fans certainly, which I count myself as one, are looking forward to something that is daring, fearless, colorful, and different. No doubt it will be Gucci,” she said about the “Sign of the Times” singer.

Harry may be new to the Met Gala this year, but he’s surrounded by good company. Besides himself and Anna, A-listers like Serena Williams, and Lady Gaga are also cochairs.
