‘The Good Place’ Star Jameela Jamil Won The Golden Globes By Wearing Jeans Under Her Dress
Los Angeles is usually sunny and warm in January, but unfortunately, on Jan. 6, it was in the 50s. Jameela Jamil knew how to make it work, though! As The Good Place actress made her way to the Golden Globes, she took to Twitter to show off her amazing outfit.
“An experienced woman wears jeans under her Golden Globes gown because it’s forking cold,” she wrote, referencing how her hit show doesn’t swear. The 32-year-old showed off a pair of her denim jeggings underneath her bright pink Monique Lhuillier gown.

“Well, it’s freezing!” the brunette beauty further explained. “I don’t believe in suffering for fashion. It’s going to be cold later tonight and we’re going to be out all night until the early hours. I would like to be comfortable.” Girl, we think this idea is genius!

Many Twitter users were obsessed with the idea. One user wrote, “Jameela Jamil is wearing jeans under her dress. She is a goddess,” while another echoed, “Jameela Jamil wearing jeans underneath her Golden Globes dress is everything I could’ve ever asked for.” One fan even praised the actress, writing, “I’m sorry but @jameelajamil wearing jeans under her Golden Globes dress? A f–ing hero.”
Jameela also made headlines in the beginning of the night when E! tried to make a joke that didn’t go as planned. During the live broadcast, they tried to identify Jameela as her Good Place character, but instead put her character’s sister’s name, Kamilah Al-Jamil.

However, it didn’t look like she minded the mistake. She posted a photo on Instagram of herself on the live telecast. “Whoever writes for @enews is a comedic genius and should write for our show!” she wrote. “I died!”
Jameela couldn’t help but document the rest of her night on social media and it looks like she was having an awesome time.
