ExclusiveGolden Bachelorette’s Joan Vassos Shares Update About Her And Chock’s ‘Long-Term’ Living Situation

The Golden Bachelorette alum Joan Vassos opens up about her and fiancé Chock Chapple’s living situation following their engagement during an exclusive interview with Life & Style.

“I think long-term we will end up in Maryland. Both of his kids have moved from Kansas, from Wichita, to the east coast. They both live in North Carolina now,” Joan, 62, exclusively tells Life & Style while discussing her partnership with Aspercreme. “So I think he’s perfectly happy kind of moving east.”

After noting that Joan and Chock, 61, want to stay close to her adult children and grandchildren in Maryland, she adds that they “might end up” splitting most of their time between New York City and her home state.

“But we still have the Wichita connection and he still has a lot of friends there and he has a business there. So this is kind of, you know, a year or two down the road,” Joan continues. “So we’ll just keep kind of doing what we’re doing, you know, meeting in fun places or being in Wichita or in Maryland.”

Who Do You Want to See as the Next Golden Bachelor?

Joan says that she and Chock are still “figuring” out their living arrangements. However, she adds that they “seem to have been able to be together a lot” despite not permanently living together. “We never are away from each other for more than like, you know, 12 to 14 days at the most,” she says.

After Joan and Chock got engaged during the season 1 finale of The Golden Bachelorette in November 2024, they revealed they were interested in moving to New York City once they’re married. But as of right now, she says it’s been “really easy” to see Chock on a regular basis because he can “work from home” and just needs to “be in the office a couple times a month.”

“We actually, you know, had an easy time staying together,” Joan continues, noting that they’re “figuring out where exactly we’ll end up.”

She adds, “I always said I’m not leaving my kids and my grandkids and he’s fine with that. He doesn’t have grandkids yet. His kids are not married. So, like, he gets that I’m gonna be here in, you know, Maryland … it seems like he’s happy in Maryland.”

Joan also opens up to Life & Style about her partnership with Aspercreme, in which she is setting out to shatter stereotypes about aging and redefine what it means to “act your age.”

After noting that she views age as “just a number,” Joan explains that Aspercreme makes it easier for her to feel good while staying active.

“I’m about to go to Mexico with my fiancé and I thought, ‘You know what? I need to get this bathing suit body a little better.’ So I started doing workouts and it killed my left hip and I used the spray Aspercreme with the lidocaine,” she says. “And I went to sleep at night and I woke up the next morning. I’m like, it didn’t, that didn’t hurt me all night.”

The TV personality also gushes about the product. “That’s kind of a game changer for me because it allows me to do the things that I wanna do and without thought of like, ‘I’m gonna have pain,’” Joan says. “And you can also use it, like, anytime and anywhere because it has no odor.”
