Kaitlyn Bristowe Slams Fans Who Say She’s ‘Pressuring’ Jason Tartick to Propose: ‘Everyone Asks’
You can all chill! Former Bachelorette star Kaitlyn Bristowe slammed fans who said she is “pressuring” her boyfriend, Jason Tartick, to propose. The two have frequently (and publicly) talked about the possibility of an engagement. However, the reality babe confessed that it’s the nature of their relationship since being on reality television. It all started when a fan asked, “When’s Jason going to pop the question?” during an Instagram Q&A on October 10.
“People ask this all the time just because we were both on a show where people quickly get engaged,” the 34-year-old began a lengthy written response. “The other day someone told me to stop pressuring him but it’s not me.” The Canadian beauty explained that she talks about her romance because that’s typically a topic of conversation during interviews. “It’s the internet [is] constantly asking questions.”
She compared the bombardment of inquiries to her openness about why she’s never been on Dancing With the Stars — she claims the creator of The Bachelor, Mike Fleiss, has blocked her from being able to participate because of personal reasons. All in all, the most frustrating part for the reality star is that people ask the question but are annoyed when she responds.
“I don’t bring it up but everyone asks. Then, I give my opinion and people say ‘get over it.’ I am over it,” she continued. “I’m just never over my rights and when people ask, I answer. Damned if you do, damned if you don’t.”
Despite any shade the couple receives from fans, they seem to be in a great place and over-the-moon happy together. The Bachelor Nation alums reside together in Nashville and are raising an adorable dog named Ramen together. If their relationship sounds serious … it’s because it is.
They spoke on the topic of engagement and divulged that it could be happening sooner rather than later. “I think Kaitlyn has an expectation within a year,” Jason, 31, told E! News in July. However, his girlfriend quickly stepped in to clarify.
“I don’t have an expectation. I don’t expect anything. I just think on the path that we’re on, it would make sense that this is the next step,” she admitted. “And moving in, we have the confidence in our relationship. We just rescued a dog together so that just feels like the next step in our relationship.” We can’t help but agree.
