For some people, when a big moment rolls through in their lives, they want to get tattooed to remember it. It looks like Lady Gaga is also one of those people, because she took to social media on February 14 to show off her incredible new back tattoo and it seems like it might just be commemorating her role in A Star Is Born. We’d say that’s a tattoo-worthy big moment if we ever heard one.

“Happy Valentine’s Day,” the 32-year-old captioned a photo of the delicate tattoo. “A tattoo toast to ‘La Vie En Rose’ by the beautiful @winterstone. My spinal cord is now a rose.”

The sweet French tat, though technically representing the legendary ballad of the same name by Edith Piaf, does have a connection to the 2018 blockbuster hit. Gaga’s character, Ally, is singing the song in a drag club when Jack, played by Bradley Cooper, sees her perform for the first time. We’ve got chills, y’all!

The singer also walked away from the tattoo shop with another commemorative piece, this time in the form of a matching tat with her manager, Bobby Campbell.

“G A G A … and when you get a tattoo and you’re me, you always have to get two,” she captioned the now-deleted photo of the second tattoo, reading “Gaga” in music notes. “Also by @winterstone and also a matching tattoo [with] my bestie and manager @wanaynay.”

However, after realizing the new tat was missing something, she came back to IG with things all touched up. “Musical crisis averted,” she wrote on a second and updated pic. “Too many tequilas, forgot the fifth staff line, poor thing. Here’s the real deal 😎”

It makes sense that the singer (real name Stefani Germanotta) would want to celebrate what some might consider the best year of her already amazing career to date. Between her Academy Awards nomination for Best Actress and the multitude of awards shows giving accolades to her song “Shallow” from the film, there is still so much coming to celebrate.

For now, the triple threat can sleep tight knowing she has a Grammy Award for an incredibly inspiring track from an incredibly inspiring film — oh, in addition to the hundreds of other accolades she has. Must be nice, huh? Here’s to more tattoos, Gaga. There’s a lot to be excited about.
