Lena then presented her Instagram followers with a beautiful challenge. “Comment below with a reason you love yourself,” she wrote, ahead of sharing her own. “I’ll go first: I’m a sober accountable adult who still loves to get naked.” Last, but certainly not least, Lena sweetened the pot with a generous offer.

“For every comment in the next week, I’ll be donating a dollar to @FriendlyHouseLA, a residential program for women recovering from substance and alcohol addiction. So guys, be liberal with your self-praise,” the Girls alum expressed. Unsurprisingly, Lena’s friends, family and fans flocked to the post to share some incredibly moving messages. No joke, if you’re looking for a mid-week pick-me-up, this post has restored our faith in humanity … for the time being, anyway.
