Letting his feelings be known! Bachelor Nation star Nick Viall publicly called out Madison Prewett for being a “liar” and “vain” during the April 27 episode of “The Viall Files” podcast with Lauren Zima. Some fans think the former Bachelor in Paradise contestant has it out for Peter Weber’s ex, but he simply pointed out a few instances that didn’t sit well with him.

“We also know Madison to be a little bit of a liar. It’s true!” the 39-year-old explained while Facetiming the ET host for the remote podcast episode. “I mean, people wanna forget. I know Madison wants to forget it. But, her Instagram. That’s not an allegation. It’s a fact she did that.”

In January, after her first one-on-one date with Peter, 28, the 24-year-old left a comment on her own Instagram that read, “Beautiful date, Madi. You are so genuine and real.” Followers immediately thought the Alabama native forgot to switch between her personal and fan account — which also means she would be running her own fan account after just one week of appearing on the reality show. However, her friend later took the fall for the embarrassing incident and wrote, “Oops. Thought I wrote that comment about being real [and] genuine from my account but was logged into Madi’s from when she back from filming. Don’t hate me, @MadiPrew.” Bachelor Nation wasn’t exactly buying the alibi, but Madi went on to be a fan favorite. While Nick acknowledged that the situation was “silly and trivial,” it still raised a red flag for him.

“There’s a logical explanation for it, which is that she wanted people to like her. It’s a totally relatable thing,” the season 21 star explained. “Listen, I’m more critical of that, and I know Madison thinks I don’t like her, and I know people think I’ve been hard on Madison. I think she’s just fine, I’ve even defended Madison. But if you’re gonna be righteous and you’re gonna be pious, and you’re gonna like talk about your relationship with God, and how you want to be an example to young women, blah blah blah blah blah, then I hold you to a higher standard.”

Nick concluded his rant by adding, “Don’t be a liar, don’t be vain. I’m vain, I can be vain! Don’t have your family use Bruce Pearl‘s house for your hometown and sell it as your own home. When it’s not your home!” The Sun previously reported that the house Madison’s hometown date took place in didn’t actually belong to the Prewett family. However, she is not the only contestant through the seasons who used a staged abode for the cameras.

Nick has previously raised concerns about the former college athlete’s intentions. During the April 7 episode of “The Viall Files” with Peter, the former Dancing With the Stars contestant noted that he “respects the hell” out of Madison but was unsure if she was a good fit for the leading man. “A lot of people would be like, ‘You knew what you signed up for.’ Right? ‘If you knew what you signed up for then why even go on the show?’ And I’ve very said, ‘You don’t know what you signed up for. Everyone has different belief systems.’ But Madison’s is pretty extreme,” Nick said at the time. “In the sense that, just because it’s not typical doesn’t mean it’s wrong. I’m not criticizing her choice to have that lifestyle. But, I am wondering is it fair.”

Madison has since given her side of things during an appearance on Kaitlyn Bristowe’s “Off the Vine” podcast. As far as why she didn’t share that she’s a virgin with Peter earlier in the season, the starlet rebutted, “Of course, he’s going to argue that it might have made a difference, but I mean who knows because that wasn’t the situation we were in and that wasn’t what happened,” she dished. “I truly tried to let my heart lead me in all conversations.”

One thing is for sure, we haven’t seen the last of Madison.
