Prince Harry Promises We’ll Meet the New Royal Baby in ‘2 Days Time’
Soon! Prince Harry has spoken out since Meghan Markle gave birth to their son on Monday, May 6, and sounded certain that more details will be released about their first child in the next couple of days.
The new dad is “delighted,” according to royal reporter Anna Botting. The correspondent also dished that “we’ll see his new baby [boy] in two days time.”
A totally delighted Prince Harry says we’ll see his new baby be in two days time. They are still thinking of a name for their son, who was overdue. Took me 42 days to name mine…boys are hard. #royalbaby pic.twitter.com/GFSYB8EYHR

After announcing her pregnancy back in October 2018, fans have anxiously been awaiting the arrival of Meghan and Harry’s first child. “We are pleased to announce that Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their firstborn child in the early morning on May 6th, 2019. Their Royal Highnesses’ son weighs 7lbs. 3oz.,” the couple’s Instagram account wrote in a caption to accompany a post that read, “It’s a boy!”
The statement continued, “The Duchess and baby are both healthy and well, and the couple thank members of the public for their shared excitement and support during this very special time in their lives.”
It’s not surprising that the gorgeous duo has decided to take some time out of the spotlight before showing off their new bundle of joy. Prince William and Kate Middleton famously posed outside the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s hospital mere hours after the birth of all three of their children — George, 4, Charlotte, 3, and Louis, 11 months. This is a pretty standard royal practice that was also done by Princess Diana.
However, the newlyweds have decided to do things their own way. “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very grateful for the goodwill they have received from people throughout the United Kingdom and around the world as they prepare to welcome their baby. Their Royal Highnesses have taken a personal decision to keep the plans around the arrival of their baby private,” a statement from Buckingham Palace read on April 11. “The duke and duchess look forward to sharing the exciting news with everyone once they have had an opportunity to celebrate privately as a new family.”
Congrats to Harry and Meghan!
