Tana Mongeau Defends Marriage to Jake Paul After Fans Slam Her For Saying It Was ‘For Content’

Hmmm … Tana Mongeau confessed to some questionable things about her relationship with Jake Paul during her MTV YouTube show, Tana Turns 21. Fans were definitely taken back by some of the things Tana and the people around her said in the video, but she has taken to Twitter to defend herself and her romance. The couple recently hosted a wedding on July 28 in Vegas and it has since been revealed that they never actually obtained a marriage license. The 17-minute video showed Tana, Jake and their friends preparing for the blonde beauty’s humongous 21st birthday celebration and her upcoming nuptials to the YouTuber. Keep scrolling to see the most controversial quotes said about their relationship!

Tana responded to the quotes and tried to give her side of the story. “Confessionals for the show A LONG TIME AGO! The ‘for fun and content’ sound bite was from a very long sentence,” she tweeted on Jul 31. She claimed that her statements were “pulled out of context.” The reality starlet continued by expressing her admiration partner in crime. “[I] know that things have moved so fast, are unconventional and confusing, but I love Jake,” she said in a separate post. “I truly do, in the weirdest f—king way.” She also noted that she hates “owing people an explanation” about their relationship.
