Tana Mongeau Defends Marriage to Jake Paul After Fans Slam Her For Saying It Was ‘For Content’

“I don’t think I should throw a party at his house,” Tana said while trying to plan her birthday party. “I think that establishes me too much as his girl.” Keep in mind, Tana’s birthday is on June 24.

“If I thought Tana was actually going to legally marry Jake, I would obviously be freaking out,” Tana’s pal said in a private interview. “I’m assuming that it’s not real because initially Tana was supposed to get married right after Atlanta and that got postponed and now she’s planning her own proposal. And, I don’t know what’s going on anymore. I don’t think she does either.”

After her manager, Jordan Worona, asked if she thought Jake’s proposal was “romantic,” Tana admitted that it probably wasn’t her “dream life proposal.” She explained, “When it comes to mine and Jake’s brand, if it wasn’t on my 21st birthday in Las Vegas drunk, like, would that be right?”

“When Tana told me that she was first going to get married, I, of course, thought it was a joke,” Jordan later said in a private interview. “After the first wedding got canceled, we rescheduled the wedding … but I don’t think they should be engaged personally. I mean, they’re not in love. I think people who are in love should get married.”

Jordan made his concerns about the YouTubers wedding and engagement clear. “There are a lot of people who are going to be angry … Because you’re lying,” he warned while they were driving in the car together. Tana simply quipped, “We’re not lying. What they see is what they get.”

“Don’t get me wrong I think a wedding is a very serious thing, but, at the same time, I think Jake and I don’t take things very seriously,” Tana said in a separate interview. “I have a lot of love for him, but it’s still something fun and light-hearted that we’re obviously doing for fun and for content.” Alllllrighty then.

Three days before the second scheduled wedding, Jake’s team pulled out. This concerned Tana’s manager who felt like they should pull out of the “agreement.” He noted while talking to the blonde beauty, “Beyond business, in terms of the relationship, you didn’t even stay over there both nights this weekend.”

“He asked me if I wanted to move in but I don’t want to,” she told Jordan when he was pointing out his concerns. “We both are on an unspoken premise that it’s like a Kim Kardashian 72-day marriage. Which is a f—ked up way to think about a wedding.”

Later in the video, Jake stopped by for a chat. “So this is 100 percent legal on paper — this wedding — yeah?” Tana asked. Jake quickly said, “I don’t know if we can talk about that though because we should make it seem like it is.”

There were a lot more aspects about their deal that they had to sort out. “Am I actually moving in or is that just for a video?” Tana then asked. Jake responded, “Um, I feel like married couples usually live together, right?”

“Everyone wants to know if Jana is real and what this is,” Tana admitted during the end of the video. “So we’ve been just kind of playing it up for the f—king people because, at the end of the day, we are internet trolls. But, at the same time, I’m realizing that this could potentially be very real and it’s up to us how real it is.”
