OMG it’s like Christmas came early! My Big Fat Fabulous Life fans were starting to get a little antsy since the show ended back in April and there has been no news about the new season at all. Well, on Dec. 11, Whitney Thore not only announced that the show is coming back to TLC sooner than we thought, but she also shared a fun and drama-filled season trailer!

“GOOD NEWS! The new season of #MyBigFatFabLife airs Tuesday, Jan. 1 at 8/7c on TLC! We’ve been working on this season since April—and we can’t wait for you to see it!” she revealed. Judging by the trailer, it looks like there’s a ton to look forward to! Let’s break it down, shall we?

First of all, Whitney’s mom had a stroke, so it looks like we’ll see them in the gym building her strength back up. You know that’s going to get hella emotional and inspiring! As always, Whitney has her own health to worry about as well, so we see her dancing, planning a tour (perhaps unsuccessfully?), and taking on a new, grueling fitness challenge.

But to be honest, fans seem the most interested in the drama with Whitney’s friend Buddy, who dumped her best friend Heather and admitted to using drugs last season. In this trailer, they tease a potential relapse and a new relationship that leaves his ex devastated. Buddy’s intention to get married also seems to make Whitney sad, because after being cheated on last season, she’s still “lonely” and “not even close” to finding love.

Um… until at the end of the trailer, where Whitney can be seen wrapped in a passionate kiss with Buddy! Yeah, we’re not ready for all of the drama, but bring it on! We’ll definitely be tuning in on Jan. 1 on TLC.
