Jennifer Lawrence Feels ‘Honored’ To Be a ‘Maroney,’ But Will She Change Her Famous Last Name?!

Those wedding bells are ringing — and Jennifer Lawrence loves the sound. The Hunger Games star spoke with former entertainment news host and friend Catt Sadler on her podcast, “Naked with Catt Sadler,” about fiancé, Cooke Maroney, and whether or not she plans on fully “becoming” a Maroney herself.

“He’s the greatest human being I’ve ever met. He really is and he gets better. I started with the basics. How do I feel? Is he nice? Is he kind? He’s just the one,” the 28-year-old actress gushed about her art dealer beau, 34, on the June 13 episode.

“I know that sounds really stupid but he’s the greatest person I’ve ever met so I feel very honored to become a Maroney,” she revealed, but added about her last name plans: “Probably legally but not going to change it in my titles and everything. I’m not going to ask everyone to do a 180 11 years in.”

It’s no surprise to hear the blonde beauty talk so highly of her future husband. In fact, an insider told Life & Style exclusively that the actress knew almost immediately that Cooke was right for her.

“Jen and Cooke are the perfect couple,” an insider said of the duo. “[Jen] says that she knew pretty quickly that he was the one. His family adores her and vice versa.”

The couple got engaged on February 5 after eight months of dating and were first linked romantically back in June 2018. The duo was reportedly introduced by one of Jennifer’s friends, Laura Simpson. Jen previously dated director Darren Aronofsky until November 2017, and prior to their coupling, the Oscar-winner dated actor Nicholas Hoult for five years.

We can’t wait to see how wedding planning goes for this duo — Kris Jenner and Amy Schumer are said to be helping hands for the event — and all the big steps they take on the road to marriage.
